Vivian Walker Dailey grew up in Jackson County and is a proud native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She is a graduate of Pascagoula High School, and furthered her education by earning a BS degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, a MA degree from the University of Houston and has postgraduate studies from the University of Alaska, Oxford University and Harvard University.
Vivian’s interests in Republican politics began at an early age, and her love and dedication to the GOP has been made evident through years of service and unwavering support of Mississippi Republicans.
Vivian was appointed by Governor Phil Bryant to serve on the Mississippi Commission of the Status of Women and was most recently elected to serve as the President of the Mississippi Federation of Republican Women (MFRW) where she will assume her role beginning in January 2018. Additionally, she is a member of the Mississippi Republican Party’s (MSGOP) State Executive Committee, the Election Commission for the City of Gautier and serves as the secretary of the Jackson County Republican Executive Committee.
“I am so blessed to work alongside Vivian as fellow Republican women and I consider her a dear friend,” said Sherri Bevis, a fellow Mississippi Republican and longtime Party activist from Gulfport. “She is a passionate leader for our Party who sets such a positive example for others by her willingness and enthusiasm to serve.”
Undoubtedly, Vivian has devoted countless hours volunteering on many notable campaigns including seven Presidential campaigns, United States House and Senate campaigns, and Governor Phil Bryant’s gubernatorial campaigns.
While recognizing the importance of Party growth and ensuring that proper resources are available in order to keep conservatives at the helm and defend Republican strongholds, she remains heavily involved in her community as a Republican activist and is a longtime supporter of the MSGOP’s United Republican Fund (URF).
For Vivian’s steadfast dedication and continued support and involvement, the Mississippi Republican Party is proud to shine a well-deserved spotlight on the incoming President of the Mississippi Federation of Republican Women, Vivian Dailey.
