Can Cindy Hyde-Smith Be Trusted On the Second Amendment?

One of the most important and crucial issues for Mississippi voters is the right to keep and bear arms enshrined in the Second Amendment. In the November special election for the US Senate, a race pitting two Republicans – Cindy Hyde-Smith and Chris McDaniel – as well as two Democrats, one might not think gun rights would be an issue at all. But we must vet each candidate.
Senator Chris McDaniel has been a rock-solid supporter of the rights of gun owners. Not only has he authored pro-gun legislation in the Mississippi Senate, he has never, not a single time, supported any law or regulation to curtail, in any way, the rights of Mississippians to keep and bear arms.
Can we say that about Cindy Hyde-Smith? No we can’t.
Although she touts her support of the Second Amendment on Facebook …

… she has not always stood up for the Second Amendment as she claims!
While serving as Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce in 2013, she wrote to the state Attorney General to inquire about the legality of imposing a gun ban – THAT’S RIGHT A GUN BAN – at the state fairgrounds complex and properties of the Department of Agriculture!
Cindy Hyde-Smith did not think that the people of Mississippi should be able to protect themselves against violent assaults while at the State Fairgrounds or at any Department of Agriculture property!
Need proof?  Here it is:

If she sought to impose gun control once, don’t you think it’s quite feasible that she will do so again?
Senator Chris McDaniel has never and will never support any law or regulation to infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. If this issue is important to you, then there is only one candidate you can support – Senator Chris McDaniel!!
